FebPhotoFest – Day 22: Warts and All.

Silverdrop quite rightly pointed out that we hadn’t entered any shots of me into FebPhotoFest. I used to be embarrassed by my body and what disability and illness has done to it, but no more. In fact, I am way more bothered by the mess on my nightstand than I am of my nudity.

So, in an effort to encourage more men to feel better about their bodies, especially thinking of our More Men in Sinful Sunday campaign (tomorrow IS Sunday, you know, hint, hint), the next few days will feature shots of me. You have been warned.  🙂

I like my body, for all it's flaws. So does SIlverdrop.

Yes, I am a bear.

This is a lovely post, for the sentiment and the photograph: tenderness, vulnerability & acceptance. I love it.

      I agree with this 100%
I know I am one who has self-image issues. Maybe one day I will overcome that. Thanks again for sharing.

You are right, we all should accept our bodies the way they are, including all its imperfections. But I know how difficult that is. Just this week I did not put a photo up for the crops post because my tummy looked ugly on it, but the rest of the photo was so beautiful. Still, because of my tummy I did not want to show it. But for the most I do accept my body just as it is, because this is me.

Lovely photo. You look soft and cuddly 🙂

Ahh, there you are Mr UberDom! :p
I could write some shite about our bodies merely being shells, and not a true representation of ourselves, but I hate my body, so it’d be bullshit. I’ll simply say I like this pic you’ve posted, and look forward to seeing more 🙂

Sidenote: I’ll have to see if Sir would like to be included as part of the More Men in Sinful Sunday campaign….
