FebPhotoFest – Day 4: Braiding

Silverdrop’s hair is getting very long. It has reached the stage where she gets tangled up in it during sleep. Not good. So she has taken to braiding it at bedtime. This makes a huge difference.

I love watching her braiding her hair. She seems so relaxed, almost at peace. Although not perhaps overtly erotic, it is very sensual to watch. Don’t you agree?

Technically, this is not a good photograph. Flash *cough hack splutter*, and not well posed. But it is candid. I had one chance, one photograph, to get the shot without Silverdrop being aware I was doing it. I hope you will forgive me this and enjoy, as I do, the gentle sensuality of the subject.

After I took this pic, she turned around and gave me the smile she has that brings a lump to my throat and lights up the room – any room, because I know it is the one she reserves for me alone. Privacy means I can’t show you that pic.

Lovely image! I love braiding my hair too, it’s easy and cute and gets it out of my way. 🙂

I really think this is very lovely image, there is something very calm about it and you have captured a moment, a gentle, tender moment at that

I love it. It’s the shots that capture life that get me most. Especially with a story like that behind it. In my head I can picture a smile like you described. And that in itself makes the picture worth it! 🙂

candid shots are always great, because they are candid. I can relate to the whole braiding the hair.
Your thoughts of your love & affection towards Silverdrop came through in your last paragraph. Beautiful!

Candid shots are great; I was told to learn to shoot from the hip as no-one expects to see a camera at waist level and are more natural.

    It’s not easy!
