SinfulSunday: You’re the One

Prompt: Song Title.

I’m actually feeling a little emotional writing this post, so please make allowances.

This month’s prompt asks us to use a song title. Silverdrop came up with both the song and the image idea within seconds of me telling her. It took a little getting, and some editing. I love the way the reflections from the chrome collar play on her skin – especially the ‘O’.

There is a story behind this, Silverdrop’s primary collar. I had it custom made by a leather worker friend. This was while we were in a trans-Atlantic LDR many years ago. I took her to a shopping mall that had an engraving store. She had to hand the collar over, and explain what she wanted engraved on it. This was one of our first public BDSM ‘things’. We both remember it well.

One of several songs that count as ‘our’ song is You’re the One, sung with haunting beauty by Karen Carpenter.

Silverdrop is my One.

How lovely. Beautifully taken photo with beautiful words. Karen Carpenter’s rich tones suit the depth of emotion inherent in this ๐Ÿ’—

This is such a beautiful post. I love the story of the engraving and this is a very poignant song too. As for the image, it is indeed stunning, the light is gorgeous and I love how it picks out the word on the collar

Brilliant Image and story to the post. Love how the light catches the engraving, as you say it must have taken a few goes to capture it just right with the light. Great work!

I felt your emotion as I read this, it encompassed so much the feeling about the song, the handing over of the collar, the beauty of the collar, I don’t know about the world you inhabit but when I read I feel I want to inhabit.
